The journey of Los Jornaleros began on a rainy winter morning four years ago in Industry, when a mournful ballad, or corrido, sprouted inside Sierra. He yanked the needle from his arm and escaped, back toward the safety of his La Puente apartment.

Two men meet in Barcelona and after spending a day together they realize that they have already met twenty years ago. Two best friends living on the streets of Portland as hustlers embark on a journey of self discovery and find their relationship stumbling along the way. Los Jornaleros presents the interwoven stories of three young Hispanic men who come to this country to pursue te American dream and instead end up struggling as day-laborers. The movie has heart and soul, which you can't say about a lot of movies these days.

It's a small film with a big message. It's the story of a group of day laborers in Los Angeles. Working and living in Los Angeles, I see these men standing in the parking lots and I wonder what their lives are like.
